World Generator

Hi

Am looking for some feedback and to ascertain interest in a small App I am working on. Its purely for fun, not for money.

Still early days for me as a programmer (my first project) and obviously for the project too. I have a goal of being able to generate single worlds, save them, print them for the 1st version.

Any feedback at all would be welcome. Anyone who wants to try pls pm me, or post here.

Well I am looking to get the 5 Sisters organized for MTU and need a good Mac tool so here come my questions.

My ideas/needs take them as you wish

• Does it work on a Mac?
• What rules are you using?
• This is a new idea...can we add or substract rules. I am thinking some people like world creation from T4 TE CT it would be nice to have options. It would be hard to do I know but create a great tool.
• Can export to the web? Real handy if we can connect to either TravellerMap sector display tools
• Does it have room for narrative write ups?

Hi

Its written on a Windows Pc. Have no idea about Macs i'm afraid.

It currently works to the Mongoose rule set, but I am planning to add support for all versions upto and including T5.

It currently saves the world details in a text file. Fields are seperated by a comma. Will be adding support for other formats in time.

I will be adding a narrative write up area.

What different world generation systems does it support?

At the moment it supports the Mongoose rule set. Once version 1 is done and it works I will start on version 2 which will add support for CT, MT and Gurps. More support will follow including T5 when it comes out.

The Basic generator part now works. Just going through and checking the output is all correct.

Once I am happy with the output, I will finish off the Save feature to include the necessary info. Once that is done, I will add the option to insert or import a UWP and generate the additional info from that.
