Zhodani Capital Ships

RKFM

SOC-11
Anyone have a link (or examples) of some well-tested HG designs of Zhodani Battleships, Heavy Cruisers, and/or Carriers?

Thanks,

RK

I don't think they're on-line anywhere, but the Zhodani warships provided with the Power Projection:Fleet miniatures rules are battle-tested and very dangerous opponents.

Of course, it helps that they were designed long after their Imperial opponents, which means people had a better idea how to build HG warships.

Yeah, I've only found Corvettes and Escorts online mostly. I was thinking of just CCing some Imperial capital ships then slightly altering them for difference sake.

What are the PP Zho ships like? Similar to Imperial ships? Advantages/disadvantages?

Any thoughts on Zho doctrinal differences? Maybe closing then boarding with some psi advantages? Do they prefer massive nuke missile attack to burn off the weapons and incapacitate the crew? Meson attack to disable the ship for boarding?

Thoughts welcome...

The Zho ships in PP:F carry lots of missiles, and many laser batteries. Some ships carry particle accelerator spinals to deal with more lightly armored targets.

One of PP:F's ships that I really like is the Vrapkenchkinj-class Light Battlecruiser, which crams a factor-S meson spinal into a 56,000 ton hull with Jump-3 and 5-G acceleration. Of course, it doesn't have much else. There is a smaller cousin, the Zhdavidlits-class Light Cruiser, a 14,000-ton, J-3, 5-G ship with a spinal meson gun.
