Japanese Traveller site

Cool I was guessing that the modeling was done in Sade. It is available in the states but I have not seen any good works done on it outside of Japan. Could be bad translation of the docs or a setup that you have to be Japanese to understand. Cool find and i am glad to see that he is posting here too.

That site is responsible for getting my Japanese girlfriend into Traveller; I asked her to translate it for me one day and she was hooked! She had always enjoyed Anime and Manga but had never really played RPGs except for Final Fantasy and the like.

So a humble thanks to Mr. Magmagmag for his help.

It's a great site. I've been using the following site for translation:

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Maybe not the best, it's useful, and I about 30 years out of practice on my Japanese written or oral. I've also used it to she what my site looks like in another language, just for amusement factor.

One of my favorite sites also.

When I use to have to write to an international partner (business, volunteer, etc for the companies I worked for,):

I would write in English then translate to their language.
THEN, I would take the translated and translate back to English.
Some times I would goto another site to do the back and forth tranlation. It helped me keep my writting to a simple yet straight forward choice that would not loose much in translation. It helped a lot.

babelfish gave me an error.

QTL did a bit better, but left me with this

There used to be another site for the Japanese version of MT. Gorgeous art, but I haven't seen it is a long time.

I know thw one you mean, black and white illustrations of Traveller ships and vehicles - lovely stuff. I think it was official art from the Japanese print of the rules.

Hmmm...maybe I should see if my wife would translate said site for me. :) Then again, she's not a Science Fiction type :(

The site (iirc) with the box (or book?) cover for the Japanese MT as the front page? I used to have it bookmarked and I'm sure the link was somewhere in the forums here too but I can't find either at the moment.

how about http://kemkem-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/hukkou/hukkou.html

That's the main page where this one comes from. Lot's interesting things there (and it has been previously posted elsewhere on these boards, which is why I've got it. As per someone else's post, a lot of stuff that comes up here has been discussed/shown/linked to before. Hard to come up with anything original, but it is mostly all great to look at & find the hidden/rediscovered gems!)

Edit: well, this is not the MT cover, but the campaign being run I think.
