Practice practice practice.

Tried for a little more streamlined, sporty feel for this one. I ain't Caswell but It's not half bad :D

Does flattening the hull reduce the height of the cargo area and hence make carrying cargo containers impossible? Or have you retained the internal height?

Having said that I like the lines.

this version would lose some vertical space, but since the way I had worked it out in my head the drives and powerplant are moved to the nacelles and tankage is moved to a belly tank, the overall cargo space stays the same.

I have worked up two versions, one flattened and one with the original fatter body shape.

what I will probably do is use the flatter body shape for a light, or fast trader, sall hul, similar sized engiens for longer range and Higher thrust.

Nice. I like the fatter shape. It looks better balanced and more aerodynamically 'clean'.

I was pretty happy with the shape in the fatter version. I was actually surprised by It.

Dude, those look amazing! Really.
Thank you, Thank You :)

WOW, i am thrilled and impressed with this new style, thanks for bringing traveller into the 21st century

I love the older ships, even after al these years. but I also love playing with the shapes, and styles. It's good practice and it's fun to share.... and I need a lot of practice.

next i think , we need to see landing gear down.
do you have a size scale for reference?

I have those on my to do list. I want to get all the basic hulls down and looking right before I add much more detail. The large scale models are fun..its that detail work that gets tedious.

once I am done, and of course, check with relevant persons I may package them up and post them for folks to play with. this is sort of a for fun project, to take my mind off the ones I plan on publishing for sale.

its that detail work that gets tedious.

the reward is when you look at the finished product and think, "hey, that looks good!"

the hard part is that when it's really good people don't notice it, they just take it as natural and to be expected.
