I would like to make Al morai's MK transport.

As you know there is a very beautiful side view.

Please teach me the imformation of it if you know:rofl:.
Ex. company mark, color, ship name and so on.

I think that's the only picture. It comes from the Spinward Marches Campaign.

3000 tons, several shuttles, unstreamlined and only a side view to go by.

It is just about the most cost-efficient long-haul bulk carrier that can be built under the CT B2 rules, too.

It is TL15 (for the drives, mostly), and Jump-4, and has a whopping 40%+ of its dtonnage available for payload.

But other than the naming convention (and the fact that Al Morai is basically a worker-owned corporation), not much else is known about what -- in a small-ship TU anyway -- is essentially a state-of-the-art Queen of the Spaceways.

Built as new. (world colour*), Named after worlds on route.

Hmm. Slight over tonnage and only M1, so a bit of a tub. For its role that's acceptable.
Stepped down from Pinnaces ("40 ton Shuttles") to Slow Boats. Not a huge difference, but cargo transfers without help are going to be slow. As a Corporate ship, however, it should always have help.

The craggy art brings one of two options to mind. Well, three, really.
1) the art was coincidental and not actually the MK, so make something up
2) MKs are moving works of art and purposely over complex
3) the art is stylized in the "Hydraea" style popular on Mora in the 400s, and the real ships are not that craggy, though the general lines are accurate.

H'm, I should try to accommodate the original text.

I note that the High Guard USP is not for a 3000 ton ship. I wonder if the MK was a severely moving target?

I recall that there are partial, and largely underwhelming, deckplans in the Alien Realms adventure folio for the Tukera Type AT Prosperity, which is pretty much just a megacorp variant (i.e., in-house knockoff) of the Al Morai World-class Type MT.

Essentially similar specs, anyway.

That's interesting. Same specs as the AT in The Traveller Adventure?

Word for word identical. (Layout is slightly different on the page due to different font sizes)

The plans are 4 decks, and relatively reasonable. Walls and doors, no fittings; engineering and main cargo aren't shown, but can be presumed to be a 4 deck tall engineering space, and a 4 deck tall container cargo bay.

The MgT version of the Traveller Adventure had full deck plans for every ship. There used to be a free download for the deck plans but I can not find it anymore.

I'm intrigued that the MK and the AT might have the same design specs, regardless of if their hulls are drawn differently.

Both 3000t, J4M1. The AT has something like 35 staterooms, and a huge cargo hold.

Like I say, >40% of displacement is available for payload.

Fun fact: if you fill the cargo hold with temporary fuel tankage, the Type MT/AT is about the only ship in the OTU that can reach the Islands Cluster in two Jumps without carrying external tankage or needing a Calibration Point along the way.

Freight is probably a no-go, but passengers and Mail are a possibility...

...as is Virus crossing the Rift. Enlightening, thank you!

That leaves THIS ship, too complete to be a typo, too small to be what it's supposed to be. So, an early version that GDW forgot to update. But even so, it's still potentially a useful design, right?

TL15 no less. Almost a scaled-down version of the AT. Or, perhaps more like a Tukera Long Liner variant (also 1000t)?
