2300 conversion to TNE

Hello All,
Sometime ago I had found conversion information on 2300 to the TNE system. I liked TNE and wanted to convert 2300 over to the system. Does anyone know if there are web sites that have the conversions? I know FFS had conversion formulas in it for converting or building from like game worlds... I just do not have the time to 1. convert ALL the 2300 equipment, vehicles, and weapons; and 2. I do not own a copy of FFS any more.

I would appreciate anyone help in this matter.

I posted this in the 2300 section - but decided to post here as well.

Cheers

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but when I tried to use the muzzle velocity listed in 2300 to get the damage value in TNE I was left with wimpy guns. I'm sure I was using the FF&S formula correctly. Likewise with the wattage for laser/plasma weapons: then again, I'm not sure I had "Putting the Heat Back in Plasma" material (Challenge #76, Striker II) when I tried to do the conversions.

That pdf had an interesting take on the 2300/OTU consolidated timeline: I guess a lot of players HAD to do something like this when 2300 was "Traveller:" rather than "Man's Battle For the Stars." Have many people out there run it as a single universe?

Really?

Mass ISTR is 0.08*pi*r^3, or a 2.86g round (4.5mm) which is (at 1600mps) 3,664j. More than a 5.56mm bullet and a TNE damage of 4. About right for an assault rifle, absolutely lethal.

With putting the Heat back.... a M2A2 (20MW = 0.2Mj) has a Damage Value of 13 (!)
