I'm putting together a 3D CG image of one of my wife's character & I need an image of a Traveller-esque tank. Haven't been able to find one on any of my sources. No bootleg or illegally down images please since I intend to post on my website.

Not bad astrids, Andy. Not bad, and good enough to use as filler art in a commercial traveler product, I'd say.
If someone wants inspiration for an totally over the fracking top futuristic tank then look at this free magazine for some miniature wargame company. The tank is just incredibly over the top but I suppose if you're talking a SF universe that has the tech to make it and has interstellar shipping that is very expensive or limited I suppose making each tank as heavily overarmed as possible might make sense as you can only ship a few. I think the tank would need AI systems to operate all the weapons, no way it has a physical crew for them all.

There are pics of miniatures of other vehicles in the magazine that might inspire you too.
This site is for google sketchup, a program I considered using. it has thousands of free models, I searched for tank and found this page. If you search for SF tank or something like that you might narrow it down. You can view and rotate 3d previews of the models, and even download sketchup3d to view, Zoom and rotate the models to your heart's content:
