6 months late, and the last 10 pages are upside down...

Well the HTML/ubb folks certainly haven't found a friends in me. Good to know what the problem is so in the future I know what to expect in the way of display.

I am increasingly of the opinion that RPGs are by the nature of their creation subjective phenomenon. due to the interaction between game designers, game masters, and game players all definitions, rules, settings, and adventures are mutable in acordance with the uncertainty principle as expounded by Heisenburg. This is of course merely my point of view.

Picked up a copy of "games" yesterday....... the pages on My copy are rightsideup and legeble..I guess your concerns got fixed

I just got my copy in the post yesterday, and all of my color plates are the right way round. I suspect that the first ones off the printer got bound incorrectly, and they fixed it - just conjecture though.

Some of the color plates, however, are difficult to read. I'm not upset about that since they are available as files on the Far Future web site.

I also noticed a big GDW LIBRARY stamped on one of the pages in Lightning Class Cruisers - I don't remember that being there in the supplements, but it's kinda cool.

My copy of FFE 005 Games arrived, and the color plates are right side up and almost completely legible (a few of the blue AHL counters are too dark to read, and the Imperium map is too dark to see the hex outlines, but everything else is OK, if a bit dark). The rules for Imperium, Mayday, and Invasion: Earth look re-typeset; all the others look like the photoreproduction used in the other reprints.

Kudos to FFE for making their scans available online for those with bad copies. I look forward to JTAS 1 in December and all the other CT reprints to follow - they can't come out fast enough for me!

Sorry, PinkSplice, it seems like you got one of the few(?) bad copies. Feel free to contact me by email (wendell@bham.net) if you want, and I'll send you color laser copies on 60/24# 8.5"x11" stock of whatever is illegible in your copy at cost (50 cents per page plus postage - I work at a print and copy shop). This also applies to anyone else with bad copies - I'd be glad to help you out. I've dowloaded everything except the two Inv. Earth countersheets, the FFW map, and the Snapshot map, which are currently unavailable from the FFE website (though I have an original FFW map and could scan that at good quality, and could scan the Inv. Earth countersheets and Snapshot map from my copy of FFE 005 with the reduced quality that entails). This assumes that FFE/Marc doesn't object (I'd naturally obey any injunction from the Grand Referee himself
