A CONTEST: Mercenary Unit Ticket

Trader Jim; I think you'll find that equipment costs in T20 are the same as in CT. That was part of the reason why I asked the question I did a few posts back. I think all the basic equipment published in CT is available in T20. Then again I haven't read through the entire T20 book, so don't hold me to that. I think the only difference is the D20 ruleset.

Hmm, NAH

Then again

Should I or not

Safety first! Hardhat, check. Flame retardant overalls, check. Exit clear, check. OK, here goes

Hey TJ why don't you and Jame team up!

No really. I mean sure you've had (still have) your differences but that might prove to be a strength. If you could each apply your best to it cooperatively well it could work, couldn't it

Or not, maybe the bad blood runs too hot, might be a bad idea, or even a sure road to ruination, your call guys. Just forgive me for suggesting it :D

Coolio Liam, I kinda had you in mind as an excellent judge when I read the requirements, thank you in advance for taking this assignment.

Sir Far Trader (dan burns!),
Nice to see you turn your hand to this from the contestant side away from the usual profit- making trade lanes!<nods>.
You're too kind, but you're welcome.
As I already thru long association with Mr Gibson, own several of his works <prints> and Two originals, I can both bow out as a contestant, and heartily encourage you who are competing this is indeed worth the effort.

Slainte!

For the purposes of this contest, The following references may be used: Traveller T20 as the standard, as well as TA1 Weapons. While other publications such as Striker or SJG Ground Forces might be appropriate, they are not necessarily always available, and so will not be regarded as the standard.I recognize this will seem a bit loose, but in the interest of uniformity I would stress that these be our standard refernces.
Brain: What do'ya think?

Brain Tumor: No Striker. We should skip this one. But it will be interesting to watch.

Brain: AK. Engage Cloaking device.

Well, he does seem to enjoy thinking that he kicks the crap out of the 41st; in reality, it's Trader's Raiders that stinks...

And F-T, here I was thinking that _I_ was the blasphemer, and you outdid me!

I am seeking to ally myself with someone familiar with the T20 system, to assist with bringing my unit fully in line with this contest.

Sorry for the formal language, but it's late, I'm tired and can't think of a way to put it otherwise.

a buddy pointed out that I haven't presented my quals, which if I ask for them, I really should be prepared to present as well.Fairs fair. So, in that vein:

6 years Air Force SPECS: sniper, field ops and special warfare. Nuclear security and Emergency Services Team ( think a milspec SWAT)

6 years Army: Field Artillary, Cavalry Scout, Military Police.

Other assorted Military Venues.

oh, and Traveller!

I'm not sure if this is what you guys want to do, but perhaps you can contact the guys at Hellions (they do stuff for SJGames) or perhaps Mexal from the TML. If you'd like, I can ask for a volunteer from Hellions.

I myself do not own T20, but having spent all this time working on trying to price a battalion from FFW (boardgame) and other stuff - perhaps I could find someone who does have T20 rules to team up with. ;)

Perhaps as a suggestion, I could host an html page or two with prices and equipment lists - this way EVERYONE is working from the same sheet. Something to consider. Anyone who is interested, email me: hal-AT-buffnet.net

Veltayne and Blue Ghost, confirmed! You are the first two contestants , and welcome aboard.

while appreciated, the idea is to keep this limited to the Coti subscribers/ readers

this very generous offer is one to consider, as the plan was to post all rules on these boards, but this does add a level of accessability.

However, I myself cannot write HTML....so someone would have to compose the beast, once all the rules are codified.

definately a solid idea, tho.

ON a similar note, as I stated above, the idea is to restrict this to the Coti boards...TML and others notwithstanding, this contest is for those registered here. ON the other claw, signing on is free, so should anyone wish to, thats not really a barrier, I expect.
