Air Raft

Check out 'Crows website and look at his Florian class scout for interior, exterior, fly-bys and even a brief interior "walk-through" of the ship. Still waiting for him to finish that and the Rhino off... Anyway, don't know if its intentional or not, but the rear light clusters seem to have picked up the steel plate bump map from the running boards in the pictures above. Look forward to seeing the "off-road" version of this (although the term does seem a tad redundant when applied to an air raft! :D ).

Sigg - Yes, yes and yes. Animations, walkthroughs, deckplans, renders etc etc etc and all for free - when I get around to them. As most people here will tell you, these projects of mine are slooooooow going =)

Also - Yes, I could do Traveller spaceships for Flightsim. The problem lies in the fact that I have no means of getting the model from Studio MAX to FS. However I spoke to my Dad earlier who's a total FS nut and he says FS 2002 comes with G-Max which is a stripped down version of Studio MAX - the modelling package I use. So it sounds like there's probably an exporter somewhere. If I can get a hold of that and if it works with Studio MAX 5 then we're in business =)
All I need then is someone who can write the scripts to get the dashboard and aerodynamics working properly =)
I guess with Anti-Grav they'd be best replacing helicopters =)

Dai - Yes - I slapped the steel plate bump map on because I couldn't be bothered to make a proper one. I'll do that when I do the weathered hull texture. Well spotted =)

small update:

Everything I need to make FlightSim models is on the official site. I'm going to bed now but I'll have a good look at the documentation tomorrow. This could be fun =)

Gentle persons

Dare I remind you, 9 of 10 Vargr responding to our survey express no color preference at all?

Now, if the manufacturer had a scent generator, I can suggest some themes to sweeten the "pot" for our Vargr cousins.

(aside: once in a game, the Vargr demo expert was walking me through a demo experience over the radio - "Just cut the green wire, Sven.")

Green, black, blue, one of those wires.

I think you will find it a good fit between the Traveller community and the flight sim community... Maybe we should approach some of the Prime Movers in that group about helping us to render many Traveller Vehicles and Starships (heck, Even Backgrounds) for flight sims. Consider how cool it would be to have a flyable model of oh, I don't know... Capital! That, and the easy online playability makes this a very interesting winter project for sure.!
