All-Star Sci-Fi Ship Crew

Everyone has their opinion, which is no problem for me. Look at the variety of answers and the ones chosen for the various positions.

Is anyone doing a count or the statistics for this thread?

What about Best Ship's Doggie?

That is what Chewie, Worf, Ronan, D'Argo and, dare I say it, Zoe, are, after all.

But my vote goes to Ein, off the Bebop. :)

Negotiator: Dominar Rygel the 16th.
Security officer: Dargo.
Covert ops: Chiana
Doctor: Bones McCoy. (Hey, he saved the horta...)

ENGINEER: Dr. Hans Zarkov (Frank Shannon)

ARTIFICIAL INTEL: Maria (from Metropolis)

I'll pitch in some possible additions to this crew...

Sidekick: Happy Hapgood
Hotness: add Diana Palmer (Jeanne Bates)
Science: Dr. Gregor Tymak
Token alien: Narab
Further androids: the Republic Robot and the Rapist Robot (from Flesh Gordon)

Ships Crew

What about ships telepath?
I cast my vote for Yoda- a master of the force can always come in handy. I used him (at least very similar) in one adventure as an NPC- was great for when the PC's really needed help. Also 'River Tams' (Serenity and Firefly), she looks good and can fight when need be; although that little mental problem she has... (makes for a good background and side problem for the PC's).

I like the idea of Buck Rogers as a small ships pilot (I had forgotten about him).
Also would like to add Tony Stark aka- Ironman to the ships engineer list! Someone that can build the Ironman armor, you wont have to worry about to much going wrong and the repairs would make everything else look like it was standing still or something out of a "Cracker Jacks" box.

Ships dog- hmmmm, not to amny canine or feline characters in the movies or TV series! Portheos, Archers pet dog on ST: Enterpise would be my choice. It seems like th other choices fall under ships 'alien' to me.

Say it isn't so, what's wrong with Ein? What could be more travellerish than a welsh corgie, generred with near human sentience, with no capacity to communicate more than lassie had. Built or bred to carry encoded data securely, the crew ended up with him after the data key got destroyed. Ein is of course short for Einstein.

What is more GM indirect that your dog giving you the "what kind of an idiot came up with this plan" look rather than a sophont NPC?
