If someone hasn't told you privately, or you've found out on your own, the Black Curtain is a "virtual informational event horizon." In English, that means that no information whatsoever seems to be available about that area. "Something happened" after the Collapse within this region of space. Ships enter but never leave. Well, except for Vampire Ships. It is commonly believed by the majority of folks on the TNE-RCES ml that Virus controls this region of space and it isn't happy. Beyond that, no one can agree. We should find out someday, if MJD gets his way. =)

It's actually rules by a Cylon named Lucan. There ships are based on two pie tins butted together.

What actually happened was a repeat of the series was being shown at the Imperial Palace when virus hit.
