Bridge workstations?

but the issue is not just the mission of SEAL teams, but also thier size --

are we gonna have ST 1 thru 6 and thier support teams/command struct as a security force upon a ship?

I seriously doubt it -- but they are spec ops guys -- assassins, demolitions experts, nasty SOB's you want on YOUR side .. lol -- they aren't "beat cops" handing out tickets ..

It would be like having CIA/KGB agents driving the black n whites writing up tickets -- the mental picture of having such specialized personnel doing a mudane job just strikes me as odd ...

With a massive amount of SEALS -- your going to have to LOWER the bar and basically make them as regular grunts, cause all those people don't have the same mental toughness, nor the phsyical ability of a SEAL -- just compare an Army SP vs a SEAL -- my bet would be the SEAL would kick the SP's butt ...

Im in the process of designing a 175000 tons ship and i got a bridge with 184 workstations, what will all those people do at the bridge. i cant realy see a task for everyone of them.

You can get some ideas looking at the named bridge positions on the AHL deck plans.

You have the basic pilot and nav positions. The captain and XO have their own positions too. Then you have centralised control over the many different engineering sections, damage control coordinators, traffic control for the fighters, oversight on the gunners, tactical mission planners, sensor/navigators who track other ships (friend and foe) ...
