Challenge magazine?

I have a few old issues of challenge magazine, and despite frequent typos, cheap art and other things I thought it was an excellent magazine and loved the way it covered all aspects of SF gaming like RPGs, miniatures, etc.

It often had scenarios for non GDW games and I like magazines that are not deidcated to one companies line.

I see now that they're doing a one off issue of challenge for a special purpose.

Question: Is there any way that challenge could be redone as a web magazine and in the spirit of the old paper magazine? I'd love to get the old challenger mag back even in virtual format, and I doubt I'm the only one.

Isn't someone doing something like this now? I remember seeing the request for submissions somewhere recently.

Yep, that's exactly what we're trying to do. A PDF, probably with a POD option. Concentrating on GDW games, but others may be included.

Whether or not it goes into regular production depends on the success of the trial issue.

Well, I hope it works out. I would love to see challenge come back and not just as a one game company mag but covering all SF games, unless lawyers have made that impossible too.
