Classic Traveller Game Boxes

Right now I am in the process of making new boxes for my CT digest sized books and Miniature boxes.

Try as I might finding blank 9 by 6 telescoping boxes has been a fools errand,. So I get to make my own, unless someone knows of a source.

If you wanted to go total overkill, you could get one of the case prototypers to do you a metal box ... (I'm only kind of joking - it would be a cool box, if heavy...) they could also podwer coat it, and probably laser edtch it, so all you'd need to do would be enamel in the laser-touched areas...

This (metal box etc) should be done as a kickstarter for CT 50th :)

Inside should be the 77 version. the 81 version, every book from 4-8 (both versions of 5) in print, a set of commemorative cards, artwork, dice, and a thumb drive with every CD that is connected with Traveller (all editions) that FFE has. You can have my $500 now...

Good idea, but I think a plastic box would be better. A GOOD plastic box, but plastic nonetheless. Metal is just...ungainly. Heavy, unyielding, scratching everything.

A powdercoated black box has its charm, to be sure, but folks have to live with these things.

I still have my original Traveller...uh..."box" though, to be fair, it's not very box like anymore.

In fact, it's almost, but not quite, completely unlike a box.

my original deluxe box is more tape than cardboard I fear, yet still box-like. just in another plastic box along with a lot of other classic stuff so hopefully will stay together (it was in a cardboard box until I found my cats decided, well, anyway, now in a plastic box)

Well, I got a Pile of Chipboard and 1/8th inch Foamcore. Now to remember how to put them together... Spent several years in a Printshop, I have the skills. Just have to figure out New Graphics for said boxes.

Though the Idea Occurs with the Facsimile Edition a slightly larger box might be in order.
