Considering firing up a new T20 Campaign

My last T20 campaign ran for 2.5 years. (Before I got burned out.)

I am considering starting a new campaign. This will be done online using either GRiP or Klooge. Probably Wednesday evening, though I will consider other evenings I would prefer a week night.

So if anyone is interested in playing, a regular weekly game, I have a couple of ideas but am interested in finding out what others want to play.

I prefer role playing to roll playing. The characters' roles, interaction with the rest of the players and the rest of the Universe is more important in my style of GMing. For that reason I don't run Merchant campaigns. (Which are, by their nature more roll playing than role playing.) But I am open to suggestions.

If you end up using GRiP let me know. I might be interested in playing. Might be able to drag along a second.

I should point out that I am in the Eastern US timezone. Also, as of last year Indiana joined the majority of the US and finally adopted Daylight savings time, though there are still people wanting to get rid of it and the Democrats in Indiana still refer to it as the "Daylight Savings Time Disaster."

Works for me as I am in Atlanta ;) The second I was referring to is in the Central TZ so wouldn't be an issue if I can get him.

Personally I'd love to run a GRiP T20 campaign, I just don't have the freakin time! Playing I could squeeze in :file_23:

I would love to sit in if it were Klooge, especially now I'm getting my head around T20. GRIP excludes me unfortunately, not due to any dislike of it, just I'm on a mac.

My only problem would be an absolute commitment as I'm on 12 shifts which may overlap and there is the time zone issue though that has never been a huge problem before.

Obviously PC programs don't do as well on a Mac as they do on an actual windows machine. But since this is an older program, the Mac, even with an emulator, should still have plenty of juice to run it well in excess of what the software is supposed to run under.

One of our players (Bruce) ran it on his Mac the entire campaign. Never really ran into any issues due to the emulator. Granted, wasn't as peppy as it could have been native, but it worked well.

Ok I'll fire this game up in 2 weeks. Wednesday evenings at 7PM EST if that works for everyone. Between now and then I will need good contact email addresses for everyone. First night we'll handle character creation.

The last campaign I ran we did run it weekly and managed to miss less than 9 weeks. :)

Since I don't have any input, and I am not comfortable with the number of entities required to run a traditional Merc campaign in GRiP I guess that means either StarMerc, or Espionage. I am leaning toward Espionage/SpecOps during the Solomani Rim War in Gateway. (Though I am tempted to move it elsewhere, just because of who is interested. :) )

One other point. I have found that the IPC module in the IGM download is more stable than the standalone IPC module. When the demo times out the IPC module still works. :)
