Considering "Pathfinderizing" Traveller

The T20 Character gen stuff was not too bad. Combat was fine until you shot at a vehicle or ship. (Comment Deleted due to poor taste on my part) The best robot rules I ever found were out of Dragon Magazine #64 August of 1982.

Take T20's characters and use LBB for most everything else. It works with a little effort. Biggest problem is critter encounters take a lot more effort to set up. Use Striker for vehicle combat. Character shoots at character use T20, he shoots at vehicle figure out pen and use Striker.

Ship and vehicle design rules were a lame attempt to circumvent GDW products systems without infringing on copyright rules. Same stuff just reworded, same with system generation. Actually, SC, you're quite wrong about it being "an attempt to circumvent"... Hunter was licensed to use CT text. Which is why the non-OGL sections are non-OGL.

He opted not to, because T20 ship design is HG with some fan-requested additions, and the most common complaint about CT Bk3 T&C was the short table, so expanding it was voluntary choice. System generation was adjusted from Bk6 to match real stellar densities better (still doesn't actually match).

You might want to check your facts before slandering people.

Fair enough,

Was not trying to slander, it was just my personal take.

I stand corrected.

I will avoid all comments on the T20 system in the future and just stick to CT.

If people want to check out a "Travellerizes" d20-based system, totally FREE, look for a little game called "Stars Without Number". It's actually VERY nice...

Pathfinderizing Traveller (T20)

Do what I did, hire a copyright attorney. I made a campaign setting that mixed, Pathfinder/Traveller (T20) together and made a new world. The copyright attorney was essential in contacting the parties and reviewing the book to make sure we had the Open Content/Closed Content notes on the book right.

Check it out
