CT CD Rom Questions

I have a Twilight 2000 "freebie" from a DriveThru rpg promotion. The text from each page had somehow bled to the opposite page... making "ghosts" on all the pages. Also... when I print it out, I get fuzzy blue backgrounds. This is unacceptable.

Question 1: Does the CT CD rom have decent scans that print out okay without unnecessarily eating up your ink cartridges?

Question 2: Does it come with a list of known errata, or is fixing things left as an exercise for the referee?

I don't have space for a complete set of classic CT books, so this is an attractive product-- but I'm old now and have little time to waste on $^#^&#@.

Just my suspicions here...

Guess 1: I expect most of the CT stuff to be of the same quality as that in the reprints, very high. This because I imagine Marc is using the scans used for the reprints on the CD. I hope the quality of the scans of the extra material is as good. IF they are they should print out very crisp and use black ink only.

Guess 2: I kind of doubt there will be any errata included. It will probably be just a direct copy of the originals. I think there was a Wiki or some other start at errata for CT a while back. Anyone recall the specifics?

I certainly hope they get the 'belter' table right - the reprint was unreadable.

And Jeff0 - I love the 'firefly' reference... To me, Firefly IS Traveller. Here's onea my favorites:

"Oh my God, it's grotesque! Oh, and there's something in a jar." -- Wash

Hmm, I'd forgotten about the belter table. At least Marc posted a clean download for it iirc once he found out. Any other problem areas anyone recalls as I only got a couple of the reprints and think they're fine.

Come on now, who's not getting one of these CD-ROMs, no matter what? Only trouble is, waiting 'til November's starting to damage my calm ...

The series appears to be a set of linked Patron encounters.... Those recurring characters are what make the show for me: Niska, Badger, and Yosaphbridge.

Niska: "Are you familiar with the works of 'Shun Yu'?"

I was STUNNED by that torture scene - so horrific and at the same time, incredibly funny.

I am now a dyed-in-the-wool Firefly fan. I recommend it to any and all Traveller fans.

Episodes are available at the iTunes store.

Can anyone direct me to the pre-order link for the CD-ROM? I don't seem to be able to find it on the FFE site ...
