I was reading the Darrian book last night, in regard to drawing up a char and for the life of me I couldn't find the auto skill/service table? Is it just me or was the book badly edited or half done! Also is the a naming table? They give examples but no generic list, I should add when I say book, I mean pdf so it is poss I am missing some pages

I have the paper edition of AM8, and although the paragraph on automatic skills mentions that they are found on the "Rank and Service Skills Table", I cannot find any such.

Similarly, there is no table of names.

I have the deadtree reprint of alien modules.

Can't find tables either.

I also looked in books 4 (mercenary) and 7 (Merchant Prince) because the Alien Module said Daryen can use those expanded generation methods. No rank & service skill table there, either.

I found rank & service skills for Navy, Army, Merchant, and Noble in the MegaTraveller Players' manual...

But not for the Special Arm or Academic, of course.

Emm, don't you just use the one in LBB1...

ok, just checked my originals - there is no table so it's not a reprinting error.

There is no list of Darrian names, just a handful of examples, but there's all the information you need to make up some yourself. Native derivation: Generate a Darrian word. English derivation: Take an English word and twist it to conform to Darrian letter patterns. As an example of the latter, I made up the name Zgoter from 'scout'.

Ryihlayr Nyonolz Pehneh
