I will concede that it does strongly resemble a spitzer-pointed, boat-tailed small arms round, or a nicely streamlined bomb. Look at it as an emergency decoy for discouraging pirates.

EDIT: I read it it's from a company called Dedon and that it's about $9,000! You could almost buy your own ship for that.

I think the problem is less the look of it and more the possibility of it tipping over and falling apart under stress.
