Foreven Sector was declared to be a Referee's preserve a while ago, does that status still exist or is Foreven Sector becoming official and being nailed down now?

Actually, I have been thinking of asking this question myself. But then It dawned on me that if a company is producing products set there then the GM Preserve deal MUST be history.
I would say "ref's preserve" is a misnomer at this point. On Travellermap.com, all the stars are charted, the Zhodani border is quite evident thru the middle of the sector and several worlds are named and detailed.
I can't say whether it is being officially developed but it feels like it has been to me.

There have consistently been products produced for Foreven Sector throughout the MgT era by Third Party Publishers. All such publications are officially non-canon.
Foreven continues to be a GM Preserve, as the FFE Website still notes:
