Foreven Shipyards Scoutship

Per request, I painted up the Scoutship I ordered from Foreven Shipyards on Shapeways. Excellent quality model!

Due to some health issues, my hands don't work quite as well as they used to, and this is very noticeable in my painting But, until I lose use of them completely, I'm going to keep a brush in hand.

Imperial Scout Distant Farewell encounters an odd sublight vessel out on the fringe of Imperial space.

I have another Foreven Shipyards ship on order (Patrol Cruiser), with a few other ships I found on Shapeways (the DSL Ironworks ships, which are also 1:000 scale). The Firefly~esque ship is from Ground Zero Games.

I own several of the old RAFM TNE models (http://rpg.net.nz/minis/?page_id=176), which I guess are a smaller scale (maybe 1:1200?).

BTW, I would never have imagined that Firefly was smaller than a lowly Type S Scout...

That is a nice paint job.

Now that I know about that ship yard I may have to get some once finances align (starting a class, and one book alone is $200 - used...I'd rather spend that on gaming stuff! Although I have found it cheaper in a few other places - just need to verify editions and all that)

But its a good looking ship!

That's nice. I'd sure like one that's about 4" long, same with a Trader as a desk ornament.

There are larger scout ships (and ships that resemble scout ships) on Shapeways. Nifty, but too pricey for me.

I'll stick to the 1:1000 scale. I have a few more ships on the way, from various sources. Once they arrive, I'll work on painting them, and set up a nice battle using Mayday.
