Hasta la Visa

The TAS card is inspired! I'm going to have a go at another idea tonight!

Thank you kindly ravells, twas just a bit of slap dash cut-n-paste :D

Just as a matter of interest, proper punctuation would dictate that there be an apotostrophe after the 's' in Travellers in 'Travellers' Aid Society', but does it appear in the official books?

I just nicked the logo as is from, erm, another Traveller site ;) Fair use, parody, and all that, right :)

I don't recall the books having an apostrophe but my memory isn't what it was.

Personalized picture cards are now a common offering

USA Today article:

http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/credit/2006-07-25-credit-card-usat_x.htm

Excerpt:

"Capital One and First National Bank of Omaha offer picture credit cards — and the image can be just about anything. Exceptions: pictures deemed offensive, ⌧ographic or in violation of a copyright.

Most choose family pictures. "It's a feature that really appeals to people who are sentimental and emotional," says Rajive Johri, First National Bank president."

Just took a look, and yes, the TAS journals had the apostrophe on the covers. :)

:)

Better now?

That's a sweet looking card. Very clean and clear (vs, say, 3 grandchildren in front of a rock fireplace...)

I do like Andrews as well.

If I could keep my beni's that I get from my card (5% gas rebate tyvm), I'd make one in a heartbeat.

They're missing their apostrophe...

I nicked it for my card ;)

Yeah, they are, but at least they spell Traveller correctly :) I wonder if they have always had it wrong (it's some 90 years old) or if it was the web head who goofed?

Or could there be some grammatical rule/loop hole in play? Like it's not 'the aid society of the travellers' (Travellers' Aid Society) but 'the aid society for the travellers' (Travellers Aid Society). If you follow. My recall of the finer points of the rules is faded but I know there are a few oddball exceptions to some of the rules.

Anyway there is a Toronto one that has the apostrophe iirc.

Which makes me wonder if maybe it's just a trademark issue?

I'm from Spain, and the first thing I thought when I saw the name of the thread was "someone has made a mistake, instead of 'Hasta la vista' they wrote 'Hasta la visa'..."

LOL

So did I, and others I'm sure as well. But knowing Andrew I was sure it was intentional and had to have a look a see what he was up to now.
