How have you messed with passengers on a ship?

How have you (or others) messed with passengers on a ship? Or an idea of how you would do it?

I thought this would be fun:

Pilot talking to Passenger: "You know, technically, you're cargo. So if we get attacked, we can jettison you."
Passenger looks horrified.

Or

In front of passenger, Pilot looks out a porthole for a split second into JumpSpace: "Oh my god! Something's out there!" and runs out of the room.

Steward casually gazes out of the window of the observation deck (to bored, listless High Passengers): "Voidsharks!! Evasive manuoeuvres!!!"

Engineer to passengers (feigning extreme anxiety): "Erm, sorry to bother, but...does anyone have a hairpin? Anyone?"

Steward (to a Low Passenger who is being prepped): "When all the Low Passengers are asleep, we have a lottery, and the loser is eaten like a popsicle."

Supercargo (whispers to Captain, but audibly enough to be in earshot of the High Passengers): "Sir, I don't know how to tell you this, but...Remember that cage that was covered by a tarp down in the hold? Well, it's loose!"

This is the sort of thing that will get you downvoted on SpaceYelp.

Or, voted up, if you do it entertainingly enough.

Okay I admit it, I read Icerigger as a very young boy, and the idea that a group of very different people get thrown together onto a "lifeboat" and end up having to work together to survive has always been a huge motivator in my Traveller games (I think I've done it three different times).

Is there an April Fools day equivalent in 3I?

All of those seem good ideas for this day on your passengers...

NPC passengers that don't follow rules will be restrained and taken away. Maybe flushed out an airlock. It depends on who's running a ship. Nearby PCs in the crowd (or are part of the crew, "I'm just the cook.") learn from such examples how not to behave if they want to remain in good standing with the starline's company.
