Imperial Sunburst decals?

While we're on the question of miniatures - does anyone know a source for getting Imperial Sunburst decals?

I just got some of the marvelleous grav tanks from Ground Zero Games (this, this, and some Battledress infantry), inspired by these pictures.

I would like to paint them as an Imperial Marine-detachement, and I'm no master at painting freehand.

Before I start experimenting with photoshop and decal-paper, I would rather check whether there are suitable decals around.

This immediately made me think...has anyone produced Sunburst insigna or props for an Imperial Uniform...true there is no agreement what an Imperial Uniform looks like but I think we all have seen the Starburst being a cructal part of it...I see the Starburst being part of shoulder cuffs and on the arms.

Yes, some have been done, as patches... but I don't know if they are still doing business.

Not sure the site is up to date and Loren still has the stock listed (the Starburst and 4518th), it was a year or more ago when I ordered, so I'd drop him an email first if you want to order. Actually, hold that thought, I dropped him an email myself to check. Will post back when I hear.

Years ago someone did do a few patches but they are OOP now. I picked up a set on the BITS stand at Gencon UK one year ... I don't know if they have any left.

Honestly, my fellow Baron, I think they look more like Imperial Marines. Mostly it is the color...

I tend to have mine in standard Navy Blue, which of course looks black for some reason, but works since so is space. Perhaps with some nice red and gold flash. Dangit, now I am thinking about actually doing up my uniforms.

OTOH, I LOVE the Regs, those things rock. Though that might just be that I am some sort of Bureaucracy wonk.

So do you think we can convince Marc to let some new patches get done? I know that he has some t-shirts, so it seems feasible.

Yes, I was aware of the patches...but I was thinking something like this but in solid navy blue...

Yes, it is dressy but I see the Imperium as being quite corrupt and full of itself...

And, it was not so much shoulder patches...I was hunting for but Shoulder Boards that should have the Imperial Starburst.

Blue doesn't work for me (makes me think of Zhodani) but I could see white with trim. Wasn't there something like that at the end of Treasure Planet? It's been a while since I saw it but I seem to remember thinking "Hey, that might work."
