Imperium Staple 1 - 10

Richard

SOC-11
All right - for auction, Issue 1 - 10 of the Imperium Staple magazine, in good condition. Certainly not easy to find - I have never seen a copy on sale.

Bidding starts at $15, not including postage (from the UK). Will end when there have been no new bids for 24 hours.

Also, with Swordy's Illustrated Bibliography still offline, can you (or anyone else) confirm whether or not this is the entire run of the 'zine?

I do accept Paypal. It is my understanding that Issues 11 and 12 were produced, but I'm not sure.

There were twelve issues.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is this magazine like? What articles does it contain and is there any art included?

Thanks! :D

The magazines are each about 16 pages long, digest size. As for quality, they are fairly good for a fanzine. The cover art is of variable quality - there are some that are quite good but others that are not.

Quite a bit of content seems to be packed into the issues. There are reviews in each issue, and a selection of articles, including details on a few subsectors of Foreven, some detailed NPCs, a selection of rules articles, some deckplans, new careers, etc.

Hi Richard, I just sent you an email. Mmmm, yummy new Traveller to devour... :D

But, in other news, anybody have (non-bootleg!) copies of issues 11 and 12 they're ready to part with?

I got these in the mail yesterday (I'd actually forgotten all about them so it came as a nice little surprise
) and spent the evening skim-devouring all 10 issues. Fun stuff, a great peek into 'pre-internet' Traveller fandom. I can't say there's much/any material I'll actually drop into my games but I'm still glad to have them. I'd love to see these (and the other Traveller 'zines -- Third Imperium, Jumpspace, Working Passage, etc.) posted to a website somewhere like was done with Security Leak.

So, thanks again Richard!
