Interplanetary travel is the 'short flight' to the interstellar 'trans-oceanic flight'.

Depends on how you value the Imperial credit vs the dollar - the 3I credit was pegged to the 1977 dollar value, what would a dreamliner or 787 cost in '77 dollars?

The 1977 US dollar pegs to the 2013 at between 3.5 and 5.1 2013 dollars to the 1977. Depends upon which method for comparison one uses... Buying power, proportion of GNP, proportion of minimum wage...

But note that Mongoose uses a different correlation, specifically to the 2008 UK£, for that which isn't legacy...

I remember that Pan-Am Airlines was accepting deposits, not long after '2001: A Space Odyssey' movie came out for trips to the moon. The movie showed Pan-Am providing Earth Orbit to Lunar Orbit passenger service.

I think they gave the money back before that airlines closed down, but it might be informative to see what passenger costs they projected it would take.
