No, I hadn't dropped it, just took a break as I seemed to be getting addicted to doing them...

I'm continuing to enjoy the comic, but seriously: is there a reason that you can't put all these update notices into one single thread... so that -- oh, I don't know -- we could then subscribe to that one single thread rather than have to hunt each new episode posting down separately?

Meh, I mentioned making AA sticky thread but no one was interested...

You don't have to make it sticky.

Just create a thread (call it perhaps "AA updates"), and every time you (or anyone else) post(s) to it, it will pop to the top of the active thread list.

Every day there's a new posting, those of us who are subscribed will get an e-mail with a direct link.

No fuss, no bother...

:)

And not every thread should be a sticky. There's altogether too many already with some that really don't need to be and some that should be and are not. Sticky is a limited resource that needs to be very carefully applied.

Give boomslang's idea a try, it'll work quite well. People can even bookmark the "AA Updates" thread and find it easily* if they miss it on the top of the pile.

* as long as the server doesn't melt-down again or something

Agreed.

Sticky is used only when the mods feel something needs to be seen for a while, despite not having frequent posts.

Well, when I get to AA10 it's going to be a giant sized double issue.

I just wish there was some form of internal navigation available on the comics, like being able to go back and see the previous one, or the first one, etc.

*Sigh* When i get to AA10, which may be a while as it's a giant sized issue and I have other things to do now, like create at least 18 PCs and set up 3 rpg sessions to run in an upcoming conention, I'll put them all in one damn thread with all the links in it.

I mean, ghawd forfend anyone have to type "Ad astra" in the search engine for title...
