G'day,

I am having trouble with the calculations for local and average world temperature calculations. The formula seems to be the same. What am I missing, or is this just a loose usage where average local temperature, average world temperature, and local temperature are all used interchangeably?

Also, is there away of accounting for day/night and lattitude?
