Leif Ericson Scoutship

In a couple days my MGT version of High Guard will be arriving. This thread has inspired me to try a running a Leif Ericson based navy campaign.

Andrew's talent as an illustrator as well as the skills of notable others here at the forum are more than advertisement enough for their resumes in the TU and any other!

My thought was that having the Traveller ship-sizes compared/contrasted on a site that's more oriented to pop culture SF than to role-playing might expose people who like SF/spaceships to Traveller, and of course would also have the artist (in this case, Andrew) sourced as the credit for the illustrations/models. That Jeff Russell's Starship Size site's had 10 million + hits.

Just my opinion, of course. I'd take a stab at it but I have enough trouble just keeping in touch with my favorite gaming universe by perusing this forum, with school and family. Plus a total lack of artistic talent.

Most people are already familiar with the ships: Enterprise, Voyager, B5...
so how would this improve visibility?

Improve visibility of Traveller related stuff. They visit the site. They see ships in the comparison list as "Common vessels of the Traveller (r) role playing game universe." (scout, type M, fat trader, far trader, AHL). Exposure, interest. Especially with T5 and MGT in the pipes.

That's how I think it might go. I suspect there's a lot of 20 year olds who know about D&D but didn't really think about there being a SF rgp.
