Looking for free-to-use 3-D spacecraft models

Exec summary:

I'm looking for free-to-use 3-D spacecraft models that will display in Milkshape or Sketchup or some other free 3-D program, to help my son learn to draw spacecraft from different perspectives.

Longer version:

My son Chris (who is a member here as ChaosBennett and plays Gayne Maize in my SBRD campaign) is a very talented comic artist, and we are working on a collaboration to create a webcomic. The problem is that he doesn't really draw spacecraft a lot and is not confident of his abilities to do so, but there will definitely be a need in the planned story for some exterior views of spacecraft.

He is very gifted with ability to look at an object and draw it to proper scale and perspective. My idea is that if I can get some models for him to look at and turn various ways to examine in some 3-D software, then he can practice drawing them until he feels better about his abilities to do so and to invent new spacecraft for this planned comic. (With examples to look at, either one of us might also learn to make our own in the 3-D program and use those as models for drawings.)

Money is rather tight at the moment and is a definite issue, hence my search for free sources for him to look at.

Ask over on the 3D forums at Renderosity.com

They could probably help. You'll have to register on the site in order to ask, tho.

If you've never been to that site before, prepare to 'oooh' and 'ahhh' a lot.
