My main problem is how to simulate the great variety of planetary conditions. Look at our own solar system. There is only one habitable planet most Traveller planets assume that there is a standard for life. Unless we want to include something like Ancient intervention, that simply does not conform to reality. Planets will have to be tamed and terraforming would be a constant struggle to make the balls of rock semi-liveable.
