I didn't touch SST. I picked up B5 d20 1E just as 2E came out, just to see how they did things. I've got no irons in the fire, tho, for I'd not use either it nor Trav for B5... I'm more likely to adapt something else, or break out the Chameleon Ecclectic Babylon Project.
I have noted with several MRQ books (as PDF) that:
1) They have a typo problem. Not as bad as T4, but close to MT.
2) They have published some REALLY poorly thoguht out elements, with obvious last-minute changes.
And while I am a Traveller fan, describing it as the Holy Grail of the Gaming Industry is a serious misnomer... that would be the Harry Potter license... or the StarWars or Star Trek licenses. Perhaps even Dune.
I'm hopeful. And as I said over there, if they do screw it up, I can at least make a fixed rulebook, and let my players play MY version of Traveller.
