Hello Folks,
I thought I'd point out a minor "murphy-ism" that you might find humorous...

Did you know, that if you take a drive unit from Book 2 and place it in a Z drive unit, and place it in an 800 Dton hull, it can take 20 hits of damage before it is rendered "destroyed" in the ship hull. But if you place that same Z drive in a 600 dton hull, it can take 21. Oddly enough? If you place that same unit in a 5,000 dton hull, it can only take 4 hits before it is destroyed.

Fancy that. It always takes up the same volume in each of those different hulls, but it takes less damage to destroy the drive than in any of the other larger hulls.

One hit reduces the drive letter by one. It takes 25 hits to destroy a Z drive (a drive isn't destroyed until it is reduced to less than drive letter-A) regardless of the hull it is in.

What does happen is that the performance of the drive degrades faster in the larger hulls - which makes sense in a way.
