No QREBS for Equipment list?

Blue Ghost

SOC-14 5K
Knight
I'm not seeing any QREBS values for any of the gear listed in T5. Is there a reason for that? Does everything get the standard value?

Assuming a generic item, not a well-known brand, I'd say you (or the referee secretly) roll these up when you acquire the item. No telling what you'll get.

that's what I figured, but I was hustling this morning to get some stuff done, and needed to design some "safety suits", however, HESes are already listed in the equipment list, therefore no need to prototype one with the rules.

Having said that, the piece I've written requires some special doodads, but we'll see how it goes.

QERBS has a generic value of
Q=5
E=0
R=0
B=0
S=0
You may assume anything without explicit QERBS is default array

I highly recommend creating QERBS ratings of the different subsections and components of ships. It creates a use for period under reliability. >:•》mu hah hah hah ha hah

QERBS is a ☆requirement for T5☆ as the Craftsman class revolves around it. Trader also benefits from QERBS
QERBS also are used when tasks fail. Mishaps use reliability qRebs, dangerous, and destructive results uses safety qrebS,

One thing I think might be part of the reason for the no QREBS entry on the generic lists -
"Company or Corporate Reputation The Master Mods Table identifies a variety of companies and an expected or recommended Mod for each QREBS value when creating QREBS for one of their products"

Book 1, p175... table on p265

So, take the 50000 Ackehece , then add the entry for the company that made it.

My intention is to avoid letting the players notice this rule as long as possible, in the hopes that they figure out why they got such great deals on the "Peerless brand respirator" and why the locals on the planet would look at them on the shelf, then walk to the other store to buy the "LSP respirator"
Or why there's rarely an Instellarms 10mm pistol in stock, but the gun shop always has three Seleni 11mm magnums lying around.

An ad for Gucci sneakers popped up on my browser- subsequently discovered that there is such a thing as a $2000 tennis shoe. It was leather, otherwise the primary function would appear to be announcing the ability to purchase said item.

I have to say, to convince me to pay $2000 for shoes, they better come with a rickshaw and the first week's pay for the guy pulling it

My wife scored a Prada purse at a thrift sale for $6. When we got home and she verified what it was and what they were selling for used on eBay, my comment was :"For $2900 it should come with a sherpa to carry it for you."
