That's NOT SFB... You've confounded "Star Fleet Battle Manual" by Zocchi & Kurtic with "Star Fleet Battles" by Steven V Cole (Published by Task Force, and now by Amarillo Design Bureau). Different games.
My first experience with pen and paper starship combat was with Starfire. I still have the second edition boxed set in my games cabinet.

Simple, easy and loads of fun. Then the extra additions to the game started to make it overly complex.
Back about that time. We ran a naval themed Traveller campaign using Highguard. Worked well for us.
I don't understand - why would there be a steam explosion from drinking hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 - H2O too).
Lots of chemical burns to the mouth and throat, and release of lots of oxygen gas, but steam explosion?
Ahh, so not a solution (like I use a lot), pure H2O2.At high concentration, hydrogen peroxide produces vapors that are themselves explosive in air, creating water (as steam) and oxygen - I'm not entirely sure "explosive" is the right term for that reaction, but the effect is similar. Highly concentrated peroxide is used in some torpedoes and rockets as propulsion; Russians lost a sub to an explosion involving a torpedo fueled with hydrogen peroxide, as did the Brits. So, hypothetically it could "explode" at any point between the time it was served and the time it got to his mouth.
By the way - is there a reason for all the spam these days? Are the spam filters not working or is there a new generation of botniks?

Our Turing Test needs an upgrade. Though Aramis has been doing a good job of hunting down the replicants.
Exterminatus?
Burn the heretics!
As there are times on the forum that I appear to be a "heretic", it would be helpful if you specific who you wish to burn.
A "heretic" is generally viewed as someone that refuses to accept or conform to orthodox dogma or canon.
I can't take all the credit - Dan (Far Trader) has a kill rate as good as mine, if not a hair better.
And I guess most of us thank you both for it.
