Probability Help

Battle dress is the kiss of death.
It attracts all sorts of hell and trouble. Imagine driving down the street in an M-60 tank on your way to the store. Once the authorities call out their twelve M1 tanks they will want to have a discussion with you. That is assuming you can find it, have the skills, time and materials to maintain the stuff. Talk about specialty tools, parts and power sources.

Ah, finally groked the point you were making over the END 14. It is possible and allowed for stats in CT to reach 15 but the initial roll has to be high (like 12) and you have to be lucky with a few rolls (stat gains in place of skill levels or muster out benefits). Or perhaps intitializing a character with the old CT experience option applied.

8+ is (1+2+3+4+5)/36 = 15/36. = 5/12
7+ is 21/36 = 7/12

It's only 5 aging checks, since they start in term 4.
when finding the chances of making them all, find the chance of 1 , then raise to the power of the number of tries.

so Str and End is (5/12)^5 chance of making, or 3125/248832, about 1.2558%
Dex is 16807/248832 or roughly 6.7544%

Overall odds are roughly 1.0653E-5 = 0.001065%

And the lout needs his skills trimmed to Int+Edu.

He's a Bk4 character, probably MT, and still badly broken....

I'd say for him it's penalty time. You've been awarded a free kick on the center... and he's the footie.

Warning, Parmasson, it IS possible. it's one in 10K, but it does happen.

Coupled to the skill rates, it really looks more like a T4 character. 49 levels of skills and at least 3 att points is not possible under basic MT as written:
8 terms = 9 levels
rank 6 = 6 levels
8 SpDty = 8 levels
Max BnSk: 14 (rank + SD)
total 43. Add three levels for rank and service skills.

Now, under T4, the allowed skill pool is
8 Terms 32
Promotions 8*
Spl Duty 8
R&S 3
* counts some enlisted promotions.
or about 51

the aging rules are to LOSE a point:
35: 3- or 1/12
40, 45: 4- each 1/6
50,: 5- 5/18

thus we do compliments to get the odds of making:
11/12 * 5/6 * 5/6 * 13/18
= (11*5*5*13)/(12*6*6*18)
=3575/7776
=.459747
≈46%
for three atts, we wind up with:
=.091716
≈9%

He's still buffed out way bad, but is at least theoretically possible as a T4 character.

just let him play and put him in situations where his abilities are not an advantage. like make him pilot a ship. or have to interact with nobility. make the situations he is in more difficult so he will get minuses on the his rolls.

or just say that with such an exceptional character you will have to cook up exceptionally difficult chalanges....

It was just a misunderstanding of the rules. We fixed him to restore balance. The edition was T4 and we just pulled out the LBBs and fixed him.
Good ideas, my GMing is rusty. We are adding new players all the time so I will keep it in mind.
