Pulp-o-mizer

I did a few of these a week back using Pulp-o-meter;

Thought the group might like them :)

What a hoot! That was seriously worth the post. Thanks much, I'm going to enjoy play around with this.

Cool, Brad's released it!

I've been helping him test it for the past few months (it's been an incredible effort on his part), and I wasn't sure when it was going to be OK to talk about it.

I've been building some of these for our group with tie-ins to our adventures over that time, they've really enjoyed them. :)

These are both from a very early version of the tool. Brad has added a lot to it since then.

I could only wish for a version where I could do my own magazine title - just for the shock/humor value, I'd find the pulpiest submissions to Freelance Traveller that I could, including reprints from the website, and then do a cover with the Pulp-o-Mizer. :)

How about something like this? (Perhaps with a 'FAR' edited into the image in front of the 'FUTURE').

(I couldn't figure out how to make the image appear in the post).

This really deserves a bump for more current readers.

There is also a bunch of covers from the early Astounding magazine on Project Gutenberg to work with as well. You also have a large number of covers from the various Robert E. Howard stories on Project Gutenberg Australia. With his Western stories you could mix cowboys and aliens really easy.

It is a cool site, and I was a Patreon for a while with his site but after months of nothing new coming out, I switched to other artists that were still doodling. In fact, I do this for Ian Steed originally because it was for his rabbit treats and, having had rabbits, I am a sucker for that. But I also really enjoy his artwork as it is what I think a good modern take on Classic art.

And I've used the Pulp-o-mizer for some of my Traveller game "covers".

Back in the day, we didn't have no access to slick picters. Heck, if you were rich, you could just about afford a cal-cu-later! Most of us nerds made do with out dern slip-sticks. <Harumph!>

We put the graph into pencil and paper RPGs!

Honestly, this looks interesting--and fun!
