Quality of Physical GURPS Traveller Books

I've been on a GURPS Traveller spending spree, and a lot of the softcover books I received have needed repair work, because they were in the early stages of glue-binding deterioration. None of them are falling apart. But I think they're going to do so if I keep flipping through them. I really wish these books were available as POD from Amazon, the way so many other GURPS books are.

I'm sure the old glue is just getting brittle with age. But I have softcover books from other publishers that are in better shape. I wonder if it's the glue formulation used by SJG' printer vs other printers just isn't as good, long term.

I've bought 2 POD GURPS books from Amazon, and I've been quite happy with the quality of the softcover books.

The paper seems to age as well. I mean, who am I to complain, the books are hitting 25 years old (!!), and environmental factors there as well.

Might not be POD, but it is worth it to have all of the titles. Send Marc an email; maybe he might have a solution.

I ordered the JTAS cd 2 weeks ago and just ordered the two GURPS Traveller CDs. I’m just waiting for them to ship. I’ll probably get PODs made of the stuff I have not bought yet.

Not to be confused with the GDW JTAS CD-ROM which I'd assume is OK?

Thay may have something to do with the browser you're using.

That CD-ROM is just a bunch of PDFs. It should be fine.

I do know some one is working re-doing the whole set of articles to deal with the problem and make a better search and browsing experience.

If I had a list of the problems, I'd take a crack at it or maybe help the person working on it.
