Rooms

Not so much something to fit into a ships locker, but some general rooms for use.

You can find them in the gallery in the map section.

These are hotel rooms that are designed for travellers and are a bit on the high end of the type of rooms one could find.

If your layout does not have an actual place for the deck to look over, there is an easy fix.
Just tell the players that the entire wall of the deck is an ocean scene, or a forest scene or what ever you would like. The walls are actually builting video screens that play either a set recording of choice or are a live feed on to a planet in the system.

These rooms make great places to met patrons or do business deals.

I will consider doing other types of rooms upon request.

Captain's Cabin:

Usually on mine, these are a combination office/quarters that are highly mutable, like folding tables and so forth, except on large or luxurious ships where the accomodations can be one or the other.

I generally see a desk, or as mentioned a folding table that's enough to hold a decent amount of paperwork (or it's far-future equivalent) not to mention momentos and items valued during his career.

I almost always have a safe for ship's business, cash for the current run and possibly some savings or profit if that's the case. This might double for a general ship's locker on tiny ships but there's likely to be another somewhere else on board for the general crew and any passengers.

I don't necessarily see a folding bed, but it might be nicer in some ships.

I'd expect a flat-screen monitor hooked into the ship and either verbal or remote control access to it without it being star trek. I'd prefer a few trappings of our own age, not something ultra clean and sleek that never has dust on it. Archer's quarters on Enterprise were close, but that massive bed irks me. Of course that ship is much large than most Traveller small ships.

Ah, Gadrin, thanks for the reminder. I knew I was forgetting something in the Business Suite.

Of course, I just forgot to list the wall safe. You will not find it on the map though, it would be too easy for ______ to locate it then :)

And thanks Kilgs.

I was just trying to add to the deco for other players/GM who might want some hotel/space port rooms for their game.

I'd expect it to be hidden, very well hidden even at TTL9 or so. Obviously it depends on the style of the ship and the preference of the person.

But I could see a Subsidized Merchant for instance with a captain's cabin that has a hidden safe that's seamless and might be hard to find unless you're a customs man, engineer or have scanning equipment. I happened to be switching channels the other day and "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was on, just at that point where the technician was telling the officer that the stairs came out right here but he couldn't even find a seam.

Same with yachts.

I'd prefer a desk in a Captain Cabin for face-to-face meetings and interviews.
