RW Company Names that could work in Traveller

It should be noted that UC is under investigation for use of prohibited methods of research of restricted biologicals and has required the IN to declare several Interdiction Zones (Red).

Also, D'Beers is like wise under investigation for violations of Imperial Law regarding Slavery and Exploitation of Native Species and unlawful Price Fixing and other financial irregularities.

Investors are hereby warned.

Here come the auditors! In Battledress with TL15 breifcases!

The building is no longer marked as such, and looks like it was "rehabbed abandoned" a few years ago (windows bricked up and the whole building painted to look "nice", but there's nobody home), but at one time there was, just south of the tracks of NYC's Metro-North Railroad a short distance east of Mount Vernon East station, a turn-of-the-century-factory-looking building that named itself as belonging to "Stern Metals Corp". There is actually a business shown by that name in current business directories, and at that location, but the building is no longer marked as such.

Custom Captive, no Idea what they do, the name been hijacked for 2 CyberPunk campaigns already.

Guys how could you have left the "Stars" out of it

Red Star Lines
White Star Lines
Blue Star lines

Entering the realm of the prospective:

The star with the Dwarf and Nova qualifiers?

What will replace the "Funnel" branding on starships?

Blue Wing Lines? Blue Landers Line? Blue Tail Lines?

By the way, may a japanese speaking contributor tell me what we should use to replace the Shosen, Yusen, Kisen that generate the NYK ( Nippon Yusen) OSK (Osaka Shosen) KKKK (the Kawasaki Kisen K.K. line) acronyms. I suppose you only change the prefix for Star or Interstellar and keep the sen (ship)?

My Japanese is poor, but it depends on what you're saying with the term. Kisen means steamship literally, but also refers to the service it's in, "steaming" from port to port, IOW working a trade route. So the kisen term is still used, even with diesel fuelled ships.

Likewise yusen can be a mailship or a yacht, depending on usage. Again, it refers to service. So a company name based on the service wouldn't change.

Shosen--merchant ship. Service designation again. So even if the craft is uchuusen (starship or spaceship), it'd still be shosen if it's a merchant vessel.

Gunsen and kansen won't change, either. :)

--checked with my daughters, their Japanese is better than mine...they agree.
