Best Ship Names in your experience Part 2

Jame writes:
Hey! He didn't put any of mine up there! Boo! BOO!
I'd go over the list again. I thought none of mine got in the first time, but when I checked it again I saw they found there way into different catagories.

eg. my Type S Scout Shinarrow Vulcan was listed as Navy.

Iron Hills and Girls Best Friend (Type J's) were listed as Merchants.

Not really a big deal though. I could see the ole Shinarrow being in the navy. And Belters are a kind of merchant. No foul. Play on.

And now, some IMTU ship names:

6 Wind Strike Cruisers:
Divine Wind
East Wind
Sirocco
Typhoon
Tornado
Starwind

8 Fer-De-Lance Destroyer Escorts:
Black Mamba
Cotton Mouth
Spitting Cobra
Anaconda
Copperhead
Pit Viper
Garter
Whipsnake

More as I think of them...

Then there was the list of baked goods from last year on the TML, when someone opined that Type S ships looked like slices of pie. My current campaign still flies a ship named from that list...

I made a quicky XLS spreadsheet with most of the names in this thread. It also will pick names at random for you.

It's in the fLibrary under spreadsheets.

Vanguard, are you sure? I went looking for the spreadsheet. I see 5 in the flibrary, and none of them looks like what you've described.... ????

A few ship names from my players (We're still in the beginning stages of running our first full-fledged traveller game).

Nova Cheval
Ascendant Angel
High Card
Bubble Butt (A spherical merchant ship)
Falling Hardways
Spin Breaker
Lookin' Up
Darkening
Where Are We
Still Flying

NDG, short for "NO DAMN GOOD"
. That´s what one of my characters named the PCs Far Trader after he saw it for the first time (actually he hijacked it from the nickname of a character in one of the C.J. Cherryh novels) :D .

*Massive eye roll*
My girlfriend, who I've convinced to play, see the 'Mounts: Horses, pseudosaurs?' thread, just named her yacht "My other pretty pony". YEs, she's a spoiled brat of a noble.
