Seeking Classic Adventures

Hey all,

I've just about given up. I am dying to get my hands on The Classic Adventures collection, as I could never lay hands on them when they were first out, being at the time a poor student and two hours from the nearest game store besides. I JUST found out that the reprint existed but it looks like it's out of print already!

Anyone know where I can lay hands on a copy? Is it on the CD-Rom collection? Details about that are a little scant.

Hope you can help. Thanks,
Howard

It is listed among the contents of the CD-ROM.

You're welcome, and welcome to the forum.

I tried tracking down the book as well through a couple of the out-of-print dealers without success - eBay is another option to try, if you really want the book itself, and not just .pdfs from the CD-ROM.

Sadly for me it was still available when I started buying the reprints, but I hesistated on ordering it - when I decided to pick it up at last, it was nowhere to be found. "He who hesitates..." and all that. :(

Thanks for the welcome. I came upon all of the information too late, alas.

I've tried digging around the Far Future site for more info on the CD-Rom but I can't find a page that links to anything. A lot of dead links there.

I wonder if anyone's heard when the CD-Rom will really be available? It's certainly exciting hearing that it will be.

I hope, after all these years, that I'll still enjoy reading all those adventure supplements. I never game mastered the game, just played it, and so the contents of those little booklets were strictly verboten by the GM. So I find myself wondering if I'd be better off just investing in newer material (and there's some excellent looking material here on the site) or giving in and finally seeing what was going on behind the scenes in all those old adventures?

Likely I'll end up doing both, sooner or later.

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome.

Marc sent out an e-mail a few weeks back indicating that due to printing delays for the case cover, shipping would take place roughly mid-December.

I've worn a bare path into the lawn between my front door and the mailbox... ;)

Alright Black Globe, I finally gave in and ordered a copy myself. So I guess I'll be wearing out a path back and forth to the mailbox now as well.

Hey, post when you get your copy. Hope you see it before Christmas. I bet even if they're ready now mine wouldn't arrive in time, but if yours is already sent you might have a chance.

Best,
Howard

The classic little black book adventures are some of the finest role playing material ever written in my opinion. That is in content of course, the layout and organisation is awful. No boxed text to read to your players here, just some very well conceived situations.

Yes, the LBB adventures reprint is good stuff. I have seen it available on eBay off and on. You have to try the right combos to find things that specific, but "traveller gdw" or "traveller ffe" ought to get you some good hits. Of course, you can try to find the original LBB adventures on eBay, too, if you're not picky.... ;)

And, I know they were working on sprucing up the FFE site in the last few weeks - might be why you're getting broken links. I'm hoping that CD comes soon....
