Sensor Ranges in CT

BTW, popping out my 2300 Ref's Manual, I see that the situation is reversed...most ships have a better Active sensor set-up rather than their Passive sensor set-up.

And, since your rules are based on Star Cruiser, I can see where Actives will have longer range.

Interesting that Traveller does it the other way around.

In T4, I see that the Far Trader has an Active sensor rating of 1 while it's Passive sensors are rated at 3....but I can also see other ships where the situation is reversed (the Mercenary Cruiser has an Active sensor rating of 10 whereas it's Passive sensor rating is only 4).
