COMMENTS
The second line of defense of the Sidur Haski system is the Defensor Interceptors. These sleek, fast, and lightly armored fighters are deployed in 10 ship squadrons from stationary planetoid bases known as Citadels (cf). Each Citadel supports 10 squadrons, and there are currently 6 Citadels in service, for a total of 600 fighters in the system. The Defensor pilots are vigorously drilled in rapid deployment exercises on a regular basis.
The Defensors are maintained by preprogrammed robotic ground crews (known as “Maints”) that keep even the most minor damage in constant check. The robots can be easily switch to a “Build Mode” which enables them to produce new fighters to replace losses. There is even an Experimental Squadron , the 61st, that employs robotic pilots. This Squadron is deployed from Sidur Haski’s Highport, as opposed to one of the Citadels.
The role of the Defensors is one of interception of hostiles before they are able to get too deep into the system. The often bolster the activities of the Response System Defense Boats, acting as escorts or reinforcements during heavy combats.
The fuselage of the Defensor is a single cast piece of Ceramic Composite, designed to accommodate the ship’s other systems and features. Molds and raw materials are often stored in the Citadels to replace lost units.
Pilots report that the Defensor is a joy to fly, sturdy, simple, and fast. The pilots take great pride in their role in the Sidur Haski Defense Force.

My you have been busy. It all looks very cool, especially the color text. Kudos.

A couple of nit-picks here and then I shall delve deeper into the others, Sandri hand me the multispanner and lets deconstruct our prize shall we...

First off, rather than list it as a "T20 Design" I think it might be better to describe it as "T20 Design - Alternate". Just so its clear you are 'bending' some basic rules. Not a bad thing, and in the Imperium it may even be common, especially for firms such as SHDC, to depart from standards.

Second, and related to the above note. If a spreadsheet was used please add who's spreadsheet was used to develop the design. Even include a link if you have one. This way not only does the creator of it get a little recognition they can also see if there might be any small flaws in it. And if you have made some house rule additions to the spreadsheet, mention that too and include a link if you can and want to share YTU ideas. Just a few things I'd like to see all of us do with designs posted here, or anywhere.

Now then the nitpicking...

According to the book this design will suffer a -1 agility penalty when operating in atmosphere for having the upgraded streamling and airframe add ons with insufficient computer/avionics. This should be mentioned somewhere in the notes.

Additionally as an alternative design that does not include the standard bridge allotment, IMTU this would impose another -1 agility penalty both in atmosphere and vacuum. Naturally YTU may work differently. Yours seems to follow the HG model where no bridge reduces the computer by one model, in which case I'd suggest the agility penalty is still -2 for the above reason.

I get an SI of 75 from the book instead of 50. Could be a spreadsheet error.

I'm sure you realize you could optimize the power plant a tick, being you have 0.8EP left over by my calculations. However I don't get the 0.6T of fuel you have. Granted you don't need even the 8.4 (or 9) days this gives you considering the cockpit design but I have a full 2T, the standard 4 week supply, in my run through.

Not sure how or where we differ but I come up with Mcr19.215 for the base cost (not figuring the architects fee) before mass production discount.

I can email or post my quick dissection of the design for comparison if you think it'll help.

Well done, overall I'd rate it

Sidur Haski/GUSHEMEGE Fiday 209-993

The mystery of the vanished Defensor Class System Superiority Interceptor deepened today when it was found intact in an elliptical orbit far from its last known position. The search was still ongoing after the ship disappeared yesterday during routine refuelling in the upper atmosphere of the gas giant. The operating theory was that a freak electrical discharge had destroyed the craft. Officials are at a loss to explain the current turn of events.

The craft was found adrift, intact and undamaged but empty, by a curious Seeker pilot. The Belter had picked up an unusual densitometer spike and hoped to find a rich, dense, free asteroid.

The search for the missing pilot, a new recruit and recent graduate of the foriegn services branch, continues around the gas giant and along the course of the recently found craft.

color text, milord?

I do not use a spreadsheet, but the High Guard Shipyard program by Andrew Moffat Vallance. I do bend some rules here and there, as I am focusing more on conceptualization than rules minutae. The Program I use makes an allotment for upgraded streamlining and what not, so perhaps that is a quirk of the applet that it does not account for the agility loss automatically, I checked the appropriate boxes for increased streamlining and an airframe. As for the bridge or lack thereof, The concept is for a base-launched small fighter, and a bridge proper would conflict with that concept (because of wasted tonnage). I am going by the design of modern fighter aircraft, which are basically all computer and still very agile. Im sure that the discrepency makes sense in some way, but I dont see the purpose of the limitation myself, what?

Aye sir, not as in rainbow hued but as in descriptive.

Quite, and I have played with the good AMV's program. It works well enough but still has a couple bugs. Still if all your ships are created equal then its all gravy. Its just good for other's to know they may be introducing a balance shifting craft if they yoink it, as I certainly will, er, did

But I returned that one undamaged

Thanks for the High Praise , Milord! There is also the Response Class System Defense Boat posted as well, what?

PS... cracking good adventure seed with that TAS bulletin, what? You have a good eye for the mysteries of the Black Main, what? I can overlook such thievery once, and assure you we would be happy to release a testbed model of any of our designs for your perusal, there is no need for untoward banditry of this kind! It cost money to put the whole system on high alert, what?

PPS: What are you doing to my pilot, you bounder?

If praise be payment enough and you find my tender generous, still I have won the better bargain.

"Aye, we have it in our sights."

Thank you sir but I must credit my muse. She sometimes whispers and if I listen close enough it can oft reap such high praise. I note the date is wrong though, I'll happily edit it if you can supply a correct one. Also, naming the gas giant would be good and I thought I saw a system write up on your page once but couldn't find it at the time.

"Ah, my good Baron, it seems you have drawn the attention of my ethically challenged younger self. He gets it from his mother, or more likely my reminiscences, since he never knew her beyond my stories. I expect your missing pilot was either a clever plant of his last paramour or an innocent turned as his latest conquest. Trust me that nothing, untoward, will happen to her at his hands. I appreciate and welcome your offer of the free exchange of ideas but my son has a strange sense of value. He feels anything not ill gotten to be of questionable worth. I have no doubt he will find a way to steal his inheritence, or refuse it if given. I bid you good evening Baron, and good rest."
