A2-BS22 Farrou
Using a 200-ton hull, the Vargr Far Trader is an interstellar trading vessel typically in use within the Vargr Extents. It is equipped with the Gvaeksa q2-A jump drive, the Davu-Llangu 29.A maneuver drive, and the Af-2 Sefue power plant, and is capable of Jump-2 and 2G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 41 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-2. On the bridge is a computer Model/4.

There are 5 staterooms and no low berths. The ship has two hardpoints and two single turrets: each carries one beam laser. There are no ship's vehicles. Cargo capacity is 101 tons. The ship is streamlined.

The Vargr trader requires a crew of 4: pilot/astrogator, engineer, medic, and gunner. The ship does not normally carry passengers.

G-HS44 Se Koez
Using an 800-ton hull, the Se Koez is a Vargr frigate – a typical small warship used on patrol, military, and anti-corsair missions. It sports the Ghafo L-448R jump drive, the Vaeno Gravitics R4.1 maneuver drive, and the Viraz 4.5R/t power plant, giving performance of Jump-4 and 4G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 331 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-4. On the bridge is a computer Model/5.

There are 27 staterooms and 5 emergency low berths. Weponry consists of two particle accelerator barbettes, one quad turret commcaster, three triple beam lasers, and two triple missile racks. There are three ship's vehicles: two 40-ton pinnaces, and a GCarrier. Cargo capacity is 39 tons. The ship is streamlined.

The Vargr frigate requires a crew of seven: pilot, astrogator, medic and four engineers. Four gunners, two pinnace pilots, and two pinnace gunners are normally carried, as well. Frigates on patrol duty generally carry 12 combat troops for boarding parties; with double occupancy, up to 32 additional troops can be carried when ground fighting or prolonged operations are expected. The ship is not intended for the transport of paying passengers.

J-BU11 Zukseg
Using a 200-ton hull, the Vargr seeker is a wide-ranging prospecting and mining vessel.

It sports the Lozekh A/1 jump drive, the Rreghaeghz A Number 11 maneuver drive, and the Thalldhou 2176.aA1 power plant, and is capable of Jump-1 and 1G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 24 tons supports 4 weeks of operations and one jump-1. On the bridge is a computer Model/3.

There are four staterooms and one emergency low berth. Installed on the hardpoints are two single turrets: each mounts one mining laser. There is one ship's vehicle: a ship's boat. Cargo capacity (primarily for ore) is 89 tons. The hull is not streamlined.

The Vargr seeker requires a crew of 3: pilot/astrogator, engineer, and medic. Additional crewmembers may be added as workers. The pilot operates the ship's boat. The ship does not normally carry passengers.

P-DS52 Rrazaghz
Using a 400-ton hull, the Vargr Corsair is an interstellar raiding vessel used by bands of Vargr brigands.

It sports the Ruefaez Kava 2/D jump drive, the Voukkoez AD-2 maneuver drive, and the Kuekhkhoe PL KK53 power plant, giving performance of Jump-2 and 2G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 127 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-2. On the bridge is a computer Model/5.

There are 12 staterooms and five emergency low berths. The ship has four turrets: two carry triple beam lasers and two carry triple missile racks. There are three ship's vehicles: two GCarriers, and one modular cutter. The modular cutter has two open modules, and space in the hold is provided for the spare. Cargo capacity is 50 tons. The ship is streamlined.

The Vargr corsair requires a crew of 7: pilot, astrogator, 2 engineers, medic, and 2 gunners. The ship can easily carry a crew
of 24, which would include raiders or boarding party members. Ship's vehicles are operated by available skilled personnel. This ship does not normally carry passengers.

R2-FU13 Dhaztuen
Using a 600-ton hull, the Vargr merchant is a large merchant vessel intended to carry passengers and freight to ports of convenience. It is equipped with the Knudhue Mark 3 jump drive, the Sizful 111m maneuver drive, and the Jf-3 Sefue power plant, giving performance of Jump-3 and 1G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 186 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-3. On the bridge is a computer Model/5.

There are 36 staterooms and 10 low berths. The ship has six single turrets: two single beam lasers, two single missile racks, and two single sandcasters. There is one ship's vehicle: a 95-ton interplanetary cargo shuttle. Cargo capacity is 54 tons (supplemented by 60 tons capacity in the shuttle, which generally travels loaded). The ship is unstreamlined.

The Vargr packet requires a crew of nine: pilot, astrogator, three engineers, medic, three stewards, and three gunners. The ship can carry 24 high or middle passengers and 10 low passengers. The pilot and a steward/gunner crew the shuttle. The shuttle can carry 40 passengers and 60 tons of cargo.

S-AS42 Kanllaz [copperhamster]
Using a 100-ton hull, the Vargr scout is primarily a military and paramilitary ship used by naval units and corsair bands for reconnaissance and ground support duties. It is fitted with the Sagnael 2 Grid A2 jump drive, the Suedoz mB/4 maneuver drive, and the Gozoukhs Power B power plant, and is capable of Jump-2 and 4G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 28 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-2. On the bridge is a computer Model/4.

There are 4 staterooms and no low berths. There is one triple turret mounting a heterogenous mix of weaponry: one beam laser, one missile rack, and one sandcaster. There is one ship's vehicle, a 6-ton grav speeder. Cargo capacity is 8 tons. The hull is streamlined.

The Vargr scout requires a crew of one: the pilot/astrogator/engineer; a gunner is generally carried as well. The two remaining staterooms are for scouts or relief crew. Four additional personnel may be carried with double occupancy. It is not intended for commercial passenger transport.

S-BS33 Tathoe
Using a 200-ton hull, the Vargr courier is intended for transportation of messages and envoys rapidly over interstellar distances. It is equipped with the Knudhue Mark 3 jump drive, the Sizful 330m maneuver drive, and the Koellaez Foellghouk C power plant, and is capable of Jump-3 and 3G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 62 tons supports 2 weeks of operations and one jump-3. On the bridge is a computer Model/5. There are 5 staterooms and no low berths. The ship has two single turrets: each mounts one beam laser. There is one ship's vehicle: a light cutter, used as a ship's boat. Cargo capacity is 8 tons. The hull is streamlined.

The Vargr courier requires a crew of four: pilot, astrogator, engineer, and medic, with one spare stateroom. Double occupancy permits the addition of up to five others, such as gunners, emissaries, or other passengers. The ship is not intended for commercial passenger carriage.

I love the Vargr ships. They all have that air of 'Why am I getting aboard this again?' and would love to see some of them done up. Especially the trader, prospector, and corsair.

I agree. I like all of the 'alien' ships, but the Vargr were always the nearest to our neighborhood, to so speak.
