Some Starship Names

I rolled up to a game in one ship... The rest of the established party were in the 'adventure barge' or something random like that. They found me on board "The Spilt Infinitive".

Beowulf class ships are named after fictional heroes. Our is called the "Jack Ryan"
 
Spoken of in reverence is the name of the Detached Duty Scout/Courier Hell's Jalopy. A ship which has had more repairs and been modified more times than almost any other.
 
Then there is (in My Traveller Universe) the Imperial Navy Cruiser ISS Thunderchild who's ships motto is "Defence of the innocent at any cost!"

All names may be mixed and match first and last for entertainment value. Many names make much more sense after reading the dictionary definition to understand their meaning

In our TravellerHero game last week, the players recovered an X-Boat Tender which had been stolen from Mertactor.
Long story short, they wound up with it (it had been scheduled to be sold off at the time it was stolen).

The players decided to hide their 400-ton patrol ship in the ship bay and use the tender for trading because even with their ship aboard it had considerably more cargo capacity.

Much debate ensued over what to name it. One name that was popular was "Cash Tendered" but the combat accountant of the group came up with the final name: "Legal Tender."

Hmmm, could have used Apocalypse just are well, as those are the Four Horseman, and they are not from Notre Dame.
