some very simple CT tools

i have made in qbasic some very simple
Classic Traveller tools CHEESY but FREE
there are also a number of RPG tools
too and other simple text like programs..

most are RANDOM generating like tools...

oh i also host Jim Vassilikos's programs
that are mainly for Classic Traveller
like GALACTIC...a neat Traveller universe
map program...

at the link above i now have a very
simple CT traveller RANDOM ship generator
its not 100% done but you can make
scouts, traders and merchants...

this is the ship data NOT pictures...

yes they do i have my "bent" to them
but they are pertty simple and easy
to use....could be useful
for RANDOM ship ecounters..

yes there a far nicer programs out there
but i wanted to try to make a really simple
RANDOM maker for CT...

i'm working on cruisers and yachts right now
i'll also be working on my own idea of a frigate
or escort class(E? or F?)...

its in the file area in the folder called
TICDOFFUS stuff...

I keep getting errors when trying to start the programs.

Path not found in module XY at adress 0621:0067

(This was for the adventure Hook thingy, some others were at adress 0621:xxxx)
I'm using Win98. Do they need to be run in DOS? Or Windows XP?

sounds like you forgot to make c:\wtools

make sure to read the help files for installing and running the programs...

good for DOS WIN95 WIN98 WINME WINXP...only

D'uh. I shoulda rtfm I guess. Now they work. :)

The random ship generator should be a very useful tool for the proto-Traveller crowd and other LBB2 aficionados. However, it seems that power plant fuel is not taken into account. Also, it would be nice if the total tonnage and the G-rating were displayed. The concept is really nice, though, for quickly assembling that random encounter.

okay i've an new update to shen now 1.1

i think i fixed what tobias noticed wrong...

it now produces all ship types for CT up to
800 tons...plus my own rendtion of a frigate
class...RANDOMLY

sometimes it seems a little hi on cargo space
and sometimes cheaper then in the book let
me know if you see something i am missing...

i've limited a cruiser to 5 turrets to try
and keep it data card size...let me know if this is good or not good...

goto the link in the first post to download it...

yes i do force the starships to allow a drive
larger then allowed by 1 or 2 letters...

if you give me some constructive feedback i
add you into the credits for the program...
