Star Merc Tickets

I notice lots of references in T20 to Star Mercs. (Mercenaries that are starship crews and have a small combat/escort vessel.) Are there any tickets published so one can get an idea of what a typical ticket would be like? (One of the things I really liked about Book-4 was the Mercenary tickets. (76 Patrons followed it up.) There are plenty of references to Ground Pounder tickets. Where do I find Star Merc Tickets?

(Perhaps a forthcoming TA on Mercenaries might not be a bad idea.)

EPIC 6 merc cruiser details a stamerc ticket. It should be out very soon, possibly this week.

It also details a 600 ton merc cruiser and some OOBs for starmerc platoons at various tech levels.

EPIC 7: Merc Heaven contains 6 merc tickets for starmercs, although these tickets do not require any transport or a starship.

And I for one can hardly contain myself. Is all this waiting really necessary? And now that you have told us of EPIC 7, how long will we have to wait for that?

I don't suppose the production is taking place in a nation where it's legal to force-inject game writers with espresso in order to get them to work faster, is it?

The Starfall campaign sourcebook has LOTS of merc tickets, many for starmercs.

OK Color me confused. I thought Starmercs by definition were Ship Crews that hired themselves, ship and all as Mercenary Naval vessels for things like Convoy escort, anti-piracy raids, system defense, etc. How do you have a Starmerc Ticket that doesn't require a ship?

</font>[/QUOTE]Bhoins pretty much has it right. It's around the same size as the Gateway sourcebook, but it goes in-depth into the world of Starfall and covers many of the surrounding worlds of the cluster in slightly less depth (but more than you've seen so far in most T20 works).

A number of freelancers (me being one of them) worked on the supplement, with many given one world each to design adventure scenarios for. From memory there is about one merc ticket per world, and a number of other adventures that a merc crew might be interested in if they are just a small elite force (i.e. PCs only, not with large NPC groups to keep busy).

There is SO much info on Starfall that you could run a campaign for years and never leave the planet ... or just use it as background material so that each time the PCs stop there things have changed, or they just see another side of the place.

There are also crunchy bits like animal encounters and NPC stats.
