Stowable Fresher

This would be a good way of explaining Star Wars's seeming lack of shipboard refreshers...

give a meter or so for wall thickness, and you would have storage plus the fresher, and space when not needed:

Thanks for the links!

Some years ago, a friend of mine spent some time in intensive care. Each cubicle had a combination washstand with a toilet seat that swung down out of the front. Fold it back up to flush. It was about the size of a small bookshelf, about 6-9" deep, 30" wide, and 36" tall, roughly. I have never been able to find a picture of it. Ever since, I imagined these could go in almost any stateroom.

All sorts of ingenious gadgets out there!

In Firefly the cabins have toilets that swing down and then retract back into the bulkhead to flush and are out of the way. If you have the sinks do the same, swing up bunks, and other space saving things like you find in train and ship cabins today then there are all sorts of ways to cram it all in there.

Showers might be a problem, maybe that is the fresher we see on the OTU deckplans? That's what I've always assumed anyway.

Actually the Sink in Firefly staterooms folded down from over where the toilet folded down from.(Both as seen in the Episode "Objects in Space" IIRC)

They never did show what shower facilities there were aboard ship.
